VENEERS COLOR

BL2, BL3…& BL1 NOT SURE ABOUT WHICH VENEER COLOR SHOULD GO FOR❓ 🤔 I FEEL YOU‼️ There are so many shades of whites for you to choose from when it comes to veneers. This situation may confuse you and make you wonder which veneer color will make you look phenomenal?

SOMETHING WE COMMONLY HEAR

While getting a new smile with veneers, crowns or full dentures, one of the most important steps is choosing the right white color that suits you best. Most people think this step is simple, “GIVE ME THE WHITEST TEETH POSSIBLE DOC” this is what I hear a lot; however, when it comes to choosing the color: I recommend you don’t make a quick decision but also don’t overthink it …keep it simple.

My suggestion is for you to invest a few minutes into this stage, and that’s why I created this post to help you.

Remember, once your veneers are cemented, they will not change their color until 5 or more than 15 years, depending on which veneer treatment you pick. (I created a video named “WHAT ARE VENEERS AND THE DIFFERENT TYPES?” Click here to watch that video and get more details about this treatment.)

How white you want your teeth to be?

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THE COLOR CHART THAT WE WORK WITH TO SELECT VENEERS COLOR.

As you can see in the below image, starting with the brightest color: Bleach1 (BL1 or 0M1), we move in ascending order until Bleach 3 (BL3 0r 0M3), which represent a more yellowish color; but also notice that the difference between these colors is slight.

VENEERS COLOR CHART

After BL3/0M3, the guide follows a specific order based on the brightness of the tooth. B1, A1, B2, D2, A2,… As the scale goes on, it indicates that the tooth’s color is darker and more yellow than the before tooth.

VENEERS COLOR CHART

THERE ARE 5 ESSENTIAL FACTORS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING VENEERS COLOR:

  • 1️⃣ THE NUMBER OF VENEERS INVOLVED
  • 2️⃣ SKIN TONE
  • 3️⃣ THE COLOR OF YOUR SCLERA
  • 4️⃣ YOUR PERSONALITY AND EXPECTATIONS
  • 5️⃣ VENEER SIZES

LET ME SHOW YOU HOW THIS WORK:

1️⃣- NUMBER OF VENEERS: If you’re getting 8 to 10 veneers top & bottom, you can choose from a wide range of colors. A different scenario it’s working with only 2 0r 4 veneers which limits your options, forcing us to choose a color similar to your natural teeth.

VENEERS COLOR NUMBER

2️⃣2️⃣2️⃣- SKIN COLOR: Let’s say you will get ten veneers on the uppers, so the next factor to consider is your skin tone.

In our practice, we never tell the patient which color they must choose. Instead, we let you select, and we give our opinion and why’s. You’re free to choose from any color you desire.

VENEERS COLOR SKIN

However, we have found that BL2/0M2 tends to be one of the most popular and accurate options for lighter skin patients. In dark skin patients, our recommendation is considering a color like BL3 or BL4 if your goal is getting a natural white smile.

3️⃣- EYES: Eyes & teeth are the first features we see on a person’s face; a non-strict rule uses the whites of your eyes for guidance. So my advice is keeping the white of your teeth similar to the white color of your sclera.

4️⃣- PERSONALITY & EXPECTATIONS: People with an extrovert personality tends to choose brighter teeth colors because they’re comfortable getting attention. Picking a whiter color will attract attention to your smile. If you care about this, consider it before selecting a color. More importantly, feel free to communicate this point with your dentist so you can get a great result. Do you think your pearly whites will represent your personality? 💬⌨️⬇️

5️⃣- TEETH SIZE: The white color itself has a visual effect of amplitude, so choosing the whiter color will make veneers look bigger than they are. Be careful with the size if you’re getting the whitest veneers.

“I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez! I went to Cartagena to visit friends and found her by doing some research on the internet. I live in Australia and as dental work is extremely expensive here, I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to improve my teeth for much cheaper than I could at home. Dr. Rodriguez was extremely professional, attentive, careful and very thorough in ensuring she understood exactly what I wanted”

NOW THE TAKEAWAY OF THIS POST:

"<yoastmark

  • First, BL1/0M1 is the whitest color available for anyone to choose.
  • Second, for light skin people with an extrovert personality who’s getting more than 8 eight veneers, the color BL2/0M2 would be my first suggestion, followed by BL1. In case you want to be more natural, I would recommend going down to a BL3/0M3 color.
  • On the other hand, if your skin complexion is medium (olive), a BL3/0M3 and BL2/0M2 are my suggestions for you.
  • Finally, for dark skin complexions, the whiter color I usually suggest is BL3 or BL2. In case you want to be more conservative, B1 would work great also.

I’m excited to hear your thoughts about this topic; 💬⌨️⬇️ please leave your comments below 💬⌨️⬇️ with the veneer color would you like to get?.

I am interested in veneers for my maxillary and mandibular teeth. I am a grinder and wear a night guard. Am I still a candidate for prepress veneers.
The cost of each tooth here in Savannah, GA USA is about $1200 per tooth but I want 16 so that’s going to be a great deal of money. About how much would prepress Veneers cost in Cartagena? I wanted to visit Columbia anyway.
